Solar Wood-Drying Stores and Workshop
Our client required a workshop, storage, and the ability to dry logs to very low moisture content for use in a purpose-built “Kacheloven” stove. The drying sheds are orientated with variable wind-catching cowls to maximize prevailing winds for drying, together with direct solar input. The workshop also houses solar water heating panels. Construction was by a local steelworker, using construction and materials typical of agricultural buildings.
