Crystal Palace Concert Stage
(Project director with IRA) Summer concerts in Crystal Palace Park are housed in a robust steel structure set in a lake; a history of vandalism to previous concert buildings has been resisted partly by setting the building in the lake, and also by the use of Corten steel which develops a stable rust patina to discourage graffiti. The stage door forms a radio-controlled drawbridge.
